Save the Gipping is a small group of dedicated volunteers with a passion and vision to restore the River Gipping in Suffolk, UK to what it once was - a clear, free-flowing, healthy river, whilst making it accessible and available for recreational activities.
About us
Started in 2022, Save the Gipping was born out of a frustration that the river was sadly being neglected by the authorities and as such was being choked and left to decline, and a determination that something needed to be done to rectify the situation. A Facebook group was started to gauge interest, and we are now over 1200 strong, with members from all walks of life.
