Working Parties

Our dedicated members are out on the river every Saturday, clearing blockages within the watercourse. These blockages include fallen trees, vegetation removal, trying to create access channels and repairing banks and footpaths. This helps keep the water running freely and helps to prevent the formation of duckweed. Waste wood from the removed trees are used to create wildlife habitats such as bug hotels to promote biodiversity along the river.
If you'd like to Volunteer, even if it's just to see what goes on, then please feel free - the locations, dates and times are posted weekly on our Facebook page

With a average of 5 - 8 volunteers helping out we are always looking for more people to get involved who want to make a real difference!

We are also looking for people to help out with fundraising, Admin work and general help running our group.

If your another group along the gipping valley and want to get together to improve the river for the future get in Touch
